This week’s Spotlight Hour will be the Trapinch Spotlight Hour on April 18, 2023. During this event, Trapinch will appear more frequently in the wild for one hour, giving you an excellent opportunity to catch as many as possible. As always, the event will be from 6PM – 7PM local time.
Trapinch is a ground-type Pokémon that evolves into Vibrava and later into Flygon. The Trapinch family is known for its high attack power and speed, making them formidable opponents in battles. This event will be the perfect time to stock up on Trapinch candy and add these powerful Pokémon to your collection.
Trapinch is an excellent choice for Go Battle League and Raid battles. Its Ground-type attacks are super effective against Electric, Fire, Poison, Rock, and Steel-type Pokémon. This makes it a great counter to some of the game’s most challenging opponents, such as Moltres, Zapdos, and Articuno.
Double Evolve XP
But that’s not all! The Trapinch Spotlight Hour will also feature double evolve XP, allowing you to level up faster than ever before. This is an excellent opportunity for trainers to evolve their Trapinch into Vibrava and Flygon and gain valuable XP in the process.
To make the most of this event, be sure to activate a Lucky Egg or use a friend’s Lucky Egg to quadruple the evolve XP bonus. You can also use Incense to increase the number of Trapinch that appear during the Spotlight Hour.
Maximize on the Double Evolve XP Event
Double evolve XP events are highly anticipated events in Pokemon Go, as they provide an excellent opportunity for trainers to level up quickly. One of the best strategies to maximize your XP gains during these events is to evolve Pokemon that require low amounts of resources, such as Pidgey.
Pidgey is a ubiquitous Pokemon that is easy to find and catch. It only requires 12 Pidgey candies to evolve it into Pidgeotto, and another 50 candies to evolve it into Pidgeot. During double XP events, trainers receive double the XP for evolving Pokemon, making it an ideal time to evolve as many Pidgey as possible.
To take advantage of this strategy, trainers should focus on catching as many Pidgey as possible before the event begins. It’s also a good idea to stock up on Pidgey candies by transferring any extra Pidgey caught during the event to Professor Willow. With enough Pidgey candies, trainers can evolve multiple Pidgey during the event and earn a significant amount of XP.
It’s important to note that Pidgey isn’t the only Pokemon that requires low resources to evolve. Other Pokemon such as Weedle, Pidove and Caterpie, also require only 12 candies to evolve, making them excellent choices for double XP events. However, Pidgey is one of the most common Pokemon in the game, which makes it a popular choice among trainers.
In addition to evolving low-resource Pokemon, trainers can also use Lucky Eggs during the event to double their XP gains further. Lucky Eggs double all XP gained for 30 minutes, which provides an excellent opportunity to earn significant amounts of XP by evolving multiple Pokemon.
