Pokemon Go: February 2023 Raid List

Every month, Pokémon GO introduces a new set of Raid Bosses, which allow Trainers to put their skills to the test and earn great rewards. The current season, the Season of Mythical Wishes, features returning Legendary Pokémon, in-game debuts, and Shiny forms.

For February 2023, Niantic has planned several five-star Raids that will coincide with various events throughout the month. The featured Pokémon will include returning favorites like Rayquaza and Registeel, as well as the Legendary Psychic/Fairy-type Pokémon, Tapu Lele. Each Raid Boss will also have a dedicated Raid Hour event that will occur every Tuesday throughout the month, with various Raid bonuses to be active during the hour and possibly after.

In addition to the five-star Raids, several Pokémon will arrive in Mega Raids. These Raid encounters pit Trainers and their Pokémon against Mega-evolved Pokémon, and defeating them rewards Mega Energy.

Niantic has also updated the guide to reflect the start of the Regirock and Mega Pidgeot Raids. They will continue to provide updates once more reliable information is available.

The five-star Raid Bosses for the month are as follows:

  • Registeel: 1st – February 8, 2023
  • Tapu Lele: 8th – February 15, 2023
  • Regirock: 15th – February 22, 2023
  • Rayquaza: February 22 – March 1, 2023

In addition to the five-star Raids, several Pokémon are arriving in Mega Raids. These Raid Battles offer a different challenge as players must battle against a Mega-evolved Pokémon and defeat it to earn Mega Energy. The dedicated Raid Hour events for each of the five-star Raid Bosses will occur every Tuesday, with various Raid bonuses to be active for an hour. The dates and times of Pokémon GO’s Raid Hour events for February 2023 are as follows:

  • Registeel: February 1, 2023
  • Tapu Lele: February 8, 2023
  • Regirock: February 15, 2023
  • Rayquaza: February 22, 2023

Let’s Get a Shiny Raquaza!

Rayquaza is a Legendary Pokémon and it has a highly sought after in Pokémon Go for several reasons.

Rayquaza is one of the most powerful Dragon-type Pokémon in the game, with a maximum CP (combat power) of 3835. Its powerful moveset, including Dragon Tail and Outrage, makes it a formidable opponent in battle.

Secondly, Rayquaza is a top-tier attacker for Raid Battles and Gym Battles, and it is also a valuable Pokémon for use in PvP battles. Its typing, movepool, and high stats make it a versatile and powerful addition to any trainer’s lineup.

Rayquaza is also important to have in your arsenal because it is part of the “Weather Trio” alongside Groudon and Kyogre, and these three Pokémon have a unique relationship in the game. During certain events, the weather in-game will change to match the trio’s typings, which can make it easier to catch and battle these Pokémon.

Rayquaza is a highly sought-after and valuable Pokémon in Pokémon Go due to its power, versatility, and unique role in the game’s mechanics.

Participating in as many Rayquaza Raids as possible during the featured event may increase your chances of encountering a Shiny version. It’s also worth noting that the odds of obtaining a Shiny Pokémon are the same for all players, regardless of their level or experience. Good luck!
